From the very beginning of Team Illinois and the Chicago Young Americans. Both programs were started by people who donated the time and money to build the programs. What now has happened is that those people are gone and the current generation of controllers see these programs as a way to make hundreds of thousands of dollars of the backs of these children without any oversight from AHAI. I know this because I was there at the beginning of both programs as a coach.Shame on these people, AHAI, and USA Hockey.
