So many parents decide that their player needs to play on a winning team or at a higher level. They will jump from rink to rink looking for what they deem what is going to get their player noticed. The best players at one time didn’t always play on a winning team every year. It’s funny how many think this, and begin to compare their player to others and will let everyone know. How about let your player work hard and earn a spot or be a leader on a team that may not win it all. Parents need to teach respect, sportsmanship and how to handle disappointment. But it is the time of year where some players will not make a top team but some parents will chase to find an organization that will put their player at a higher level. Enjoy your player and encourage growth, not the need to just win!
