A Battle of the Birds in Bristol, Falcons vs Golden Hawks

It’s a bit early in the season to proclaim a showdown between the SHSHL’s potential finalists, but some would say that’s just what the game between Council Rock South and Pennsbury was, and it didn’t disappoint.

Here we go again. The 1st AHF showcase for many age groups falls on Sept 1-3, Labor Day weekend. I already hear parents complaining about the showcase being that weekend. Ever since my kids started playing hockey Labor Day weekend was a tournament weekend to start the year off. Most of the ones I hear...

Just saw on Holydell website that the PHC 2013 AAA team played 76 games and Hurricanes 12UAA played 77 games. This amount of games is insane! USA Hockey ADM recommends the following:

10U AA/AAA- 80 practices & 25 games
12U AA/AAA- 90 practices & 35 games

Now I am not saying that USA hockey is god and they

Does anyone know if a 2011 can get a waiver to play up on bantam 13UPure or a 2009 can play down? Is AAHA allowing it?

Maryland & Virginia tryouts seem to be later than PA, DE, and NJ. How are the tryouts going in MD & VA? Are turnouts okay? Looking for players?

The sandbagging has started! A SJ 11UAA team entered a B tournament in Delaware and crushed everyone but the BB Girls Selects team that was put together at the last minute. They then act like they just won the Stanley Cup! Should have entered the A tournament, but when the coach, parents and players...

How are tryouts where you are at? A few orgs haven’t had their first yet, but many have. Is your kid’s team still looking for players? Is it well run and kids getting placed appropriately? Are the perennial free agents jumping ship? Is it a complete shitshow?

My kid’s kid's tryout went about as expected.

After day one of 18U evals our club has extra goalies(2). Anyone know of any clubs that will be looking to add a goalie. The 1 is a solid A goalie, who has played AA on Spring tournament teams and the other has always been able to manage to scrap by. League doesn't matter, Lancaster/Hershey/Lehigh...
