Description:
Another key matchup lost in a whirlwind of goals to the Pennsbury Falcons

HATFIELD, PA. - The Knights have played back to back games against potential playoff contenders and have just 3 goals for and 15 against to their credit.

In what is beginning to seem like deja-vu, the Knights were again missing key 1st and 2nd line players for the second straight game making it tough for the coaching staff to put together a mix that would work across their starting rotation. It isn't a lack of trying, it's an exception to the norm, a situation that seems to look like what is becoming normal for the North Penn roster.

Five minutes into the first period Pennsbury put up 3 goals on 3 consecutive shots just over 2 minutes and 30 seconds apart. Andrew Falkenstein started the scoring barrage at, 5:25. Reese Picker followed unassisted at, 6:47, and then Falkenstein again at 8:01. Ryan Kaufhold got on the board for North Penn at, 8:14, thirteen seconds after the Falcons third goal to cut Pennsbury's lead to 3-1. They would go into the second period without any more scoring, Pennsbury with an 8-6 shot advantage.

The second period was all Pennsbury, though the shot clock was practically even throughout, the Falcons put up 4 unanswered goals while North Penn continued to search for line combinations to counter. Pennsbury would take a commanding 7-1 lead into the third period. The shot summary would've led one to believe it should've been much closer as they practically split totals 14-11 in Pennsbury's favor.

The Knights squad played a slightly more liberal third period allowing 2 goals on 9 shots while adding another of their own by senior forward Jeromy Porubski at, 4:32 from Derek DeLong and Ben Mostochuk. Mostochuk's wrist shot from the top of the offensive zone was initially redirected by DeLong on goal and Porubski picked up the rebound to tuck it in behind Pennsbury's goaltender, Jorgenson. Final score, 9-2 Pennsbury.
