Valley Forge 9AAA Classless Move
Topic: September 24, 2024, 10:35:04 AM
Added a game to MYHockeyRankings early morning today that was confirmed a scrimmage on August 3rd. They inputted it as if it was played August 15th to hit the MHR cut off date. So yes, on August 3rd you beat Flyers Elite 9AAA missing multiple players and filled in with Mites 4-1. Not sure which you should feel worse about the fact you only won by 3 or this attempt to be relevant.

They did the same to our team. Running clock in entire 3rd period in a 1 goal game at the time. This is what happens when you are the bottom tier of AYHL! They need all wins they can get! Classless!

FE playing in the THF will hurt their ranking as it is. Shame they don't need another loss on their MHR!

Not sure AYHL is that good either this year. Maybe have 2-3 teams that are good at each level but the rest are mediocre at best. Same as THF. Issue with THF is their are more teams than AYHL, but top THF teams play very few games against non-top 6 clubs with Showcases being adjusted as needed. If you could combine the top teams in the AYHL and THF you would have a great AAA league! MHR rankings are a mixed bag so far. Will see once every team has 25 or so games played. You will see which league comes out on top.

Parents get so caught up in this that they lose sight of what's right and wrong.

Rankings is more important for scheduling non-league games. Additionally, if you aren't playing Little Caesars, Chicago Reapers, Mid-Fairfield, Pens Elite or Chicago Mission than My Hockey rankings should be the last thing on your mind lol

None of this mean anything before puberty. Just a good way for parents to brag that their kid plays on a top 20 nationally ranked team. It is all BS. My kid is now 2nd yr PW and you can see players who were really good at mite, Sq & 1st year PW starting to struggle and other that were not so good are excelling. No one will know if their child is any good until 15-18 years old. MHR is good for helping schedule teams in tournaments only. By the time MHR rankings come out 99% of non-league games have been scheduled. But tournaments place teams about 1 week before.

those pesky 9 year olds...
might as well get the stink of parental bs in hockey on them now, before they start to like the game too much to not quit when they are 15/16/17
