LANSDALE, PA. - In less than one month the 2022-2023 Suburban High School Hockey League season will commence play. Before getting started let's take a look at each team. We'll obviously start with the Pennridge Rams (10-0-1) and their once in a lifetime experience sweeping the SHSHL regular season, post season, Class AA Flyers Cup, and Class AA Pennsylvania State Cup. Although Pennridge tied with Council Rock South for the season, the Rams were awarded the title for the best record because of a better goals-against average. Coach Jeff Montagna will have his work cut out for his Ram's squad to defend their titles while trying to duplicate their previous season efforts. With the loss of Ryan Pico in net, Jake Gilbert will have an opportunity to move into the 1st string role between the pipes. Forwards Kevin Pico, Andrew Savona, and Shane Dachowski will be back to pick up where they left off last season with goal scoring support, and defenseman Colin Dachowski will quarterback the blue line.

The Council Rock South Golden Hawks (10-0-1) will rely on the strength of one of the league's best goaltenders in Carson Lopez. Lopez carried the 2022 Hawks icers into the post season with an incredible .926 SV%, and 2.66 GAA. Support on the forward side will be provided by Blaize Pepe and Chase Tovsky. The back end will feature Kevin Koles, a superb offensive minded defenseman who can score and pass with precision.

The Pennsbury Falcons (9-2-0) will have Aaron McDaniel in goal and Brendan Macainsh will lead the team for the offense along with Jake McCaw and Chris Sarver. Andrew Falkenstein will be on the blue line.

Central Bucks South Titans (6-3-0-1) is a young squad with Jason Magaruh between the pipes. Aydin Thierolf will head up the offense with DJ Lindenmuth and Jonah Smith. The back line will include Matt Crouch and Aidan Linso.

The Central Bucks East Patriots (5-6-0) have strength in the net with always reliable Matt Mangiacapre. The offense will feature Charlie Keiser and Corey Kosick. The defense will be supported with DJ Brown and Carter Keiser.

The Neshaminy Redskins (5-6-0) will have a new look in between the pipes with the exit of Bryan Nelson, enter the tandem of Aidan Hullings and Cory Hemberger. The two goalies will duke it out for the starting role. The offense will feature Nolan Geria, Max Gallagher, and Noah Seewagen. The blueline stability will be controlled by JJ Hathaway and Michael Knipple.

The Council Rock Indians (5-6-0) are back with virtually the same roster as last season, with the exception of losing forward Jackson Mosley and defenseman Lucas Siomos. The offense will feature league leading goal scorer Karson Grainey, and standout defensemen Jackson Accardi and Nick Hahn. Utility player, Ryan Keil, provides both defensive and offensive support where needed, and Ian Goldberg gets the call between the pipes.

The Souderton Indians (4-6-0) remain strong in net with Noah Connor. Offense is key with Seth Grossman, Jacob Chow, and Evan Thacker. Sean Ryon will be manning the blue line.

The Central Bucks West Bucks (2-8-0) have lost all of their defense to graduation, but they gain perennial all-star Sammy Poliak who returns to the lineup for his senior year. Offense will be provided by Nick Bruno, Adam Ricci, Jack Misoda, and Drew Trask. The Bucks hopes for the playoffs will be on the shoulders of goalie Liam Rogers.

The Bensalem Owls (1-9-0) are back with the same roster as last season, but don't be fooled by their record. This is a young team who is now one season more mature. In net, Ricky Gonzalez will be the last line of defense with Alex Hood, Danny Mackley, and Alex Bazlevich being leaned on for offensive power. This team has an array of dual role players.

The North Penn Knights (0-10-0) had arguably their toughest season on record, but to their credit, it was a young team last season. They'll look to bounce back with a strong cast of players. Senior Nick Crist will be in the blue paint while John Stinson, Derek DeLong, and Joey Silvotti are being looked to for offensive power. The blue line will be patrolled by seniors Tyler Porubski, Sam Mostochuk, and Alex Seward.
