A great way to get to know the rinks, Coaches and players is to go to one of their ID skates or clinics each has to offer .. This helps you and your player find the right fit. You personally can see what each rink, team, Coach and players are before tryouts.

Gonna try HO8 Spring Team ID Skate in over Winter Break at Pennsauken. Heard coaching is great and they need players at all ages. I think my son has best shot at making this team and lining himself up for Flyers Elite. Link below in case anyone else wants to go:

Be careful about move to AAA. Some organizations (mostly NY & North NJ) are crazy. Some Parents & coaches teach kids to play dirty, hit from behind, slash and talk trash. Kids feed off this and the games get out of hand. The kids are huge at 14U and under. This is why they are AAA now but can't handle it when smaller kids get bigger and better at 16U.  they can't beat up on smaller, weaker kids anymore. Just so you know, AAA is an entirely different beast than Tier II!

Little Flyers don’t have a ton of practices. I hear some practice once a week to accommodate those that travel far

Turnover is happening everywhere for next season. Rumors out of Hollydell (PHC/Hurricanes), Pennsaukent (Flyers Elite), (Ice Land) Mercer Chiefs, Ice Gardens (Revolution), Oaks (VF Minutemen), Ice Works (Little Flyers), Ice Line (Jr. Flyers), Flyers Practice Center (Flyers Youth),  and Igloo (Jaguars) is players are leaving for other rinks after this season. Funny thing is they are just moving to a rink named above. You can never please these insane hockey parents!

Heading to H08 ID Skates this week. Rink is improving, coaching is top notch and player development is prioritized at younger levels over winning. If interested, you should check it out:

The coaching is great plenty of ice time 3days a week power skating on Wednesday after regular practice.
Played aaa at another rink last year
Coaching was nowhere near as good.

Played at Pennsauken in 2021-22. Left for another rink last year and this year. Both years have been a disaster. Going back for Flyers Elite next season. Great coaching, tons of ice time, and BB finally fixing up rink. Good things are happening at Pennsauken. Parents/players at all ages should check it out!
