Really? Harder to find how? All the teams I posted have all their prices for all their levels. Not hard to find I just chose the midget level, I can do other ages as well.

2024-2025 GHC COACHES
 PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Genesis offers a payment schedule to its membership. There is a $50.00  deposit due at the time of player agreement registration, the remaining balance is divided into six (6) payments.

The Tryout/Evaluation fee of $75.00 is NON-REFUNDABLE and is not part of the Ice Fees or the payment schedule.

Wintersport Royals
8U $1525
Sq. A & B $2795  PURE AA $2995
PW A & B $2995  Pure AA $2445
Bantam A & B $3295  Pure AA $3745

For A & B the prices are real close, it's the pure AA you see more of a difference and part of that is they play more games equal more cost for ice.

That's $3445 for PW Pure AA

I have 2 kids that play AAA. Hockey is 2.4x's what EDP soccer is ($2200 for fall & spring season). Both kids are now soccer, lacrosse and basketball players. Hockey has priced us out! The discounts I get are not enough, the travel was over $10k/kid, the equipment is ridiculously expensive, the skate sharpening, and year round play is brutal. Good luck to everyone else wasting money on a sport that is full of crazy parents (Hollydell, Rockets, Arrows, West Chester- PA & NY), horrible referees, foul mouthed brats and money hungry rink owners! FU to everyone involved with Hockey! You have ruined a beautiful sport that my kids used to love!

Could have saved thousands of dollars by dropping an A. If your kids really wanted to play and you really wanted them to play, play AA. I have 2 that play AA and 1 at B level and all three cost were around $10000, club fees/tournaments/hotels/food, instead of $10000 per. I have been around of other travel sports, baseball and soccer and guess what, they got crazy ass parents as well. I was an umpire for 7yrs before calling it quits because the $50-75 a game in 90+degree heat wasn't worth the verbal and physical abuse that was given. Yes physical, I called strike 3 on little Johnny to end a game and his mom spit on me as I left the field and his dad threw a cup of soda at me. Little Johnny flipped me off and told me to suck it, this was a 12U tournament. Don't even get me started on the soccer parents on my daughters travel team. Every game coaches are kicking a parent or 2 off the sideline/bleacher before refs do it. Are you paying $2200 per kid or total? My daughters team is close to $5000, they play yr round and travel the entire East Coast.

Travel soccer costs depend on the club you play for. My kids are a 2012 & 2013 so cost is $2200 for season, included in this is Fall and Spring. Extra for Futsal, but we don't do that. Summer camp is an extra $200 so total is $2400 each. Travel is limited to PA, NJ & DE with all tournaments withing driving distance with no hotel stays needed. Your costs for dropping an A depends on the club/rink. BB AA is only about 10% cheaper than AAA and travel since Pure AA/AHF expansion is about the same. Also both kids are very good skaters and played AA 2 years ago. They dominated and that is why we added the extra A. This year was a good year, but tougher. Also parents and kids in hockey are a different breed. It is almost like foul language, obnoxious behavior, screaming at refs and bullying is encouraged. Hockey has a big culture problem. Maybe it was our rink, but it is too late now. We are moving on. My kids really soured on hockey due to the previously mentioned behaviors of the parents and kids. I have never in my life been around so many blatantly racist adults/kids. Multiple complaints using racists slurs around Indians, Asians, Blacks and Jews. Just a terrible environment these rinks tolerate!

Black Bear is the worst thing to happen to youth sports!! They are slum lords to ice rinks. Their prices are ridiculous. I wished they stayed out of PA. Parents founded our organization as a nonprofit and ran GREAT, now its run by a for-profit, BS company that DOESN'T care about the kids. We were better off playing in the DVHL!

BB doesn't care about the kids and neither does this TPH group in west chester now. TPH is another big company.  They had the PHA academy at the rink for a while and I think they charged around 10k for the year for their academy.  Now TPH is in there, and from what I learned, they charge 25k.  In my opinion, nothing is worth charging an extra 15k for the same thing.  It's a total money grab, and people will probably be stupid enough to pay.  I did hear PHA was moving to another rink which is good because our son is almost old enough to do something like that and we are looking forward to sending him to PHA. I know people that have had their kids there and they all say its been great. I'm tired of big companies coming into every part of our life and pricing everyone out of everything.

You would rather send your player to a local unproven hockey academy in the tri state area than a quality school/prep school etc?

Maybe the kid does not want to leave home for prep school. Not every kid is ready at 15-18 to leave home. Doing an academy team allows kid to play more hockey while staying home with family and friends.

For the money, I'd keep them home as long as I could, I think.  But I also wouldn't be so fast to call them unproven. From their website and instagram, it looks like they're doing well over 6 years.  They say they've gotten 13 NCAA spots and 17 Prep school spots and avg GPA is 3.65 or something.

They're also sendin kids to Prep schools like Kent, Shattuck, Bishop Kearney and Mount from their Instagram Bio.  They're all top prep schools. If you have the money for a prep school, good for you.  I'd rather keep my kid home as long as possible.  Maybe that will change when he's in high school, who knows.  I guess it all depends on how much they want it.  I'll do what I can for my son as long as he's earning it.
