$150 for tier 1 tryouts with option to attend tier 2 for free. HS program in the building that offers a fantastic education and has won back to back state championships. Sounds like nothing but a scam.

This is absolutely true. I have a player I coached that was already given a spot before evals started. Didn't even have to register for evals.  :-\

I can also speak for the teams I have coached. We have had a block of "core" kids we expected to be make it going into evals. They all weren't locks, or so I thought. We then expected there were X number of spots open. Problem is that there were kids kept by the HC that didn't really deserve it but they made it because of political reasons.

The fantastic high school program that openly tells players that they can only make the team if they move to PHC…sounds completely legit

Little Flyers and SM beware. You took a team killer parent at 2013. You were warned and still took the kid. We shall see how long it takes for an X to appear next to kids name on AYHL website.

Can you imagine the system where you can apply for the job 1 time a year and all the interviews are done on the same day.
Call the AAHA District offices and tell them your grievances. The district sets eval dates not the clubs.

Please tell me how it would work if club A has evals this week and club b has evals next week when club A offers you a contract before club b even has evals. You sign with club A locking you and still go to club b eval, your preferred club and they also offer a contract. You would then have to pay your way out of the 1st contract for your release for club B. The option would also be lose the eval fee for club B or turn down club A in hopes that club B your preferred club takes you. If club B doesn't take you after turning down club A you are again in the hunt for another club.

The best thing to do is eval for your preferred club and if you don't make it start emailing other clubs that may have a need. Years ago my kid got cut and I went on club sites and looked for teams with only 1 goalie and emailed them. I sent out 5 emails and got him 2 after eval tryouts, landing with one of them. The discussion groups every year at every age has post looking for players.

Flyers Elite Beware !!! especially for the 2011-2013s . Bad parent coaches that don’t have the best reputation with the locker room morale of a funeral.  Better off playing AA or go to a legit AAA program that cares about all the kids . Not toxic parent AAA coaches.

Nothing like an attempted bashing from hockey's resident Fool. Just be happy you found a rink to take your son. It won't be long before LF/SM realize you're a cancerous mole on their ass and they need to slice you off. Maybe you will quit LF too before they ask you to leave, just like at FE.  FE atmosphere improved the minute you left. Just keep looking for those secondary assists for your son, Rain Man!

Flyers Elite may hold the record for most rec league players making the jump this season. Quite impressive! Not to mention that whole 07 team knew it was time to cut ties with that rink. Between 14-10, the tough start to BBNA that 2025 AAHA restructuring of Tier 1 is going to look extremely interesting.
