Wow is this true.  Where are the kids going if the team is breaking down?  All evals are done and most rosters are set.  This is a true mess.  I hope it is not true.

Not true. Argument about a non-coach parent on the ice that put his hands on head coaches son. Was pretty bad!. Cooler heads prevailed though. Why do rinks allow non-coach parents on the ice? Are these parents even US Hockey certified? Nothing good ever comes from it. Rinks need to step up and allow only certified coaches that are actually on the bench during games on the ice.

Not a rink issue.  It is a club and coach issue.  They control who is on the ice.

Not really. Coaches should not have to control who is on the ice. If a parent is not a USA Hockey Registered coach he should not be on the ice period. The rink should outline this. What if that parent hurt the kid? Who gets sued the parent and rink! It is the rinks responsibility to keep the players in a safe environment. Just because parents sign a waiver, it does not absolve the rink from their duties to put certified coaches on the ice!

If it's a game, then the referees and league are responsible! Practices, whoever rents the ice is responsible. The rink has no knowledge, control, or responsibility over who is supposed to be on the ice and who is not, UNLESS, they are running an in-house event!

So Flyers Elite is owned by Black Bear. Pennsauken Skate Zone is owned by Black Bear. Dues are paid to Black Bear. Flyers Elite rents the ice from Pennsauken Skate Zone. Both owned by Black Bear. Who is responsible for making sure coaches are certified? Black Bear!

When BB purchased Pennsauken from Comcast Spectacor, they purchased Flyers Elite. It was a deal breaker if BB did not get Tier 1 team and name.

In the USA, anyone can sue any person, business, LLC, organization, or corporation for anything, however if a court deems a lawsuit to be frivolous, that is a problem. Rink ownership/management, along with their parent organization, can only be help responsible for what they have knowledge of, or should have knowledge of! The hockey club in this example is responsible for making sure that AUTHORIZED MEMBERS AND STAFF ONLY, have access to the ice, bench, penalty box, and locker rooms. Practically, coaches and managers are responsible during a practice, however games are controlled by officials, both on the ice and off, other than team benches and locker rooms. Club officials and board members can be sued but IF THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF A TRANSGRESSION, it's unlikely they would be help responsible by a judge or jury! It would be nearly impossible to prove that rink ownership/management should be in control of the ice surface, with knowledge of EVERY TEAM'S AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL FOR EVERY PRACTICE AND GAME! How could they possibly monitor for example A VISITING TRAVEL TEAM'S AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL? I rest my case!
