Montco rinks shut down for two weeks
Topic: November 06, 2020, 07:39:04 PM
Hatfield Ice just posted on their website that the Montgomery County Dept. of Health has shut them (and other rinks) down until 11/20 due to a COVID outbreak that occurred at a men's league game back on 10/25. No word on what other rinks are involved.

Youth hockey clubs with games there this weekend might want to confirm.

I’m surprised the hoser that runs this site hasn’t locked this up yet.  Good job keeping that head buried in the sand pal!

Hoser?

Okay well, not sure how to answer except that you're the A1, 1A nosophobic on this site. This is your gratuitous "nice response" from us. We know who you are and your posts are always moderated no matter if you're on a phone, or computer. Put your tinfoil hat on and go down to your basement until 2022.

This is good information, thank you. Thank you to those two rinks for putting out a statement.

Wish DVHL or AAHA would crawl out of their bunkers and speak to parents directly about how this will affect season, tell us with confidence what measures they are taking to slow spread in rinks and among teams, speak openly about the probation policy so it's not a surprise to parents or players when their team is flagged and what numbers they are looking at going forward that will affect future decisions.

Can they possibly show some leadership, be proactive and get ahead of this, or is it going to be react, react, react until the departments of health have to take over?

Glad to finally see some media pressure on this since they aren't listening to parents. Put some pressure on DVHL and AAHA to be transparent and lead, not scurry.

The media didn't get involved without the help of the out his mind disease pessimist. Nice try, proxies won't help your cause.
