"That would be 3 AA teams for the org at the age group, seems a little crazy"

no crazy is to justify playing down for a banner & hat

How are they playing down if they've filled the top level with two teams, and have two competitive A national teams?

easy, there is no limit on the number of teams a club puts in a division. clearly if you are rolling over your opponents you are playing down. unless you are saying every other team is playing up a level too high.

Look at the bottom teams in any division, if you're 0-10 in the DVHL at this point and being outscored by a ridiculous amount you're in the wrong division, suck it up and drop down.  The top teams in each division are evenly matched.

NJYHL does look like it came out better in this, kept some established clubs -- NJ Cols, Montclair, Brick, Ramapo, Red Bank

Those are core clubs of the league for many years, a positive for NJYHL?

Maybe Hershey & Genesis join forces with these long time NJ teams and make their own league of legacy DVHL/NJYHL

Add flyers youth, quakers and wissahickon and that is better league than AHF

Genesis is painted into a corner. I can't see the Montagna's and Orlando's leaving the DVHL unless the league completely crumbles.

If only a few more teams go to AH it won't be if DV and NJ merge they will have to merge because they are quickly running out of teams.

Problem is that the DVHL doesn't allow you to move without penalizing with playoff eligibility. There are plenty of teams at our club that belong in a higher division but are stuck blowing out teams and hoping for better competition at tournaments.

Ya, I was just looking at it. DVHL is down to 14 clubs, a few which like Central Penn, Delaware Stars, Rizzo and Pottstown who only field a handful of teams. This is the beginning of the end for both leagues. In 2-3 years it will just be the AHF. Maybe it will be better, who knows. No league is perfect. I still worry about it being run by a for-profit company that owns half the teams/rinks in the league.

Alot of the teams that are supposed to be 501c3 are for profit and evading the taxes. They keep everything inhouse with shell companies making swag and team official gear. They still do fundraising on top and for profit has always been youth hockey t2. AHF makes clear they are a business to make money period.
