That still doesn't say why he'd prevent Delco from joining the AHF. Is there a personal beef between them? I would think the AHF would want to grow in clubs and would not allow a petty owner to block a new member.

Probably I heard the ahf also won't accept Genesis because they have a personal beef with their board members. If the dvhl does wind up folding those two associations won't have a league to play in.
If the DVHL would fold, not likely, AHF/BB would welcome Delco and Genesis and their money with open arms. They are big clubs that will bring in $ and AHF/BB is a business to make money first, promote hockey second.

I won't be so sure about that they hate each other. Youth hockey has become a dick measuring contest for some owners.

Yeah, I don't think Graves would welcome them with open arms, millionaires hold grudges that most of us can't imagine.

DVHL gave TP a hard time when they first got started and booted Quakers out. I'm sure quite a few nasty words were exchanged because as I recall that was an ugly time even amongst parents let alone the people with money at stake. Now that the shoe is on the other foot I wouldn't be surprised to see them make those clubs lives difficult even if it's only temporarily.

Another question for the DVHL group.  If DVHL was so great, why are so many teams so eager to leave? It can't be because there was grotesque favortism for years, or selective enforcement of its own rules, or a legacy of sandbagging from some clubs and downright goonery from others that went unaddressed. It was a great league that was only focused on the best interests of the kids, not in protecting some clubs while hosing others. Right?

Was someone from Delco/Ice Works on the board for the DVHL when TP was given a hard time? Not trying to be difficult just trying to understand.

Both were on the DVHL Executive committee then and still are now. I have no direct knowledge of what was said or if anything was said at all.  This is a response to your question.

Larry Sechuck - Delco
Dave Jackson - Genesis which wasn't Genesis yet

I was a member of our clubs board I won't say which one but the DVHL left it up to the member clubs to decide if Team Philly would be suspended and they all voted in favor of suspending them for a season for kicking out the Quakers then pilfering all of their players. Make no mistake it was a well deserved suspension.

One particular club that I have specific knowledge of, had illegally pilfered and recruited players for years and never got punished for it. It got brought to the Executive Committee every time it happened and nothing was ever done about it.  Coincidentally, that club had a member on the Executive committee for about 2 decades.

Every single thing that happens to the DVHL as an organization is deserved. This notion that it's somehow a white knight being victimized by the brutal capitalists is nonsense.  It's a self-serving garage league.
