Titans closing the gap on top-heavy SHSHL National Division

BRISTOL, PA - If anything has been confirmed so far this season it's that there are two guaranteed powerhouses in the SHSHL National Division, the Council Rock South Golden Hawks, and the Pennridge Rams. The CB South Titans however are pushing the envelope to make that three-fold. While they're not winning every game with a mercy rule blowout, they are beating the competition handily.

There is no question that the 2023-24 SHSHL National Division teams trailing in the standings are weaker than normal as most are being beaten by the ten-goal rule regularly. Last night was no different as the Titans blew out the Council Rock Indians by a score of 10-1. No, it wasn't a mercy rule win but they clearly outplayed the Indians in every area of the ice making it impossible for the CR squad to compete. Coach Sean McGinty has the tools necessary to be every bit as lethal as the Hawks, and Rams. The offense is there, the defense is there, and the goaltending is there to counter both squads, the question is, how will the strategy be employed in order to defend against both and come away with wins this season?

The Titans had seven different players figure into the scoring last night, Keith Waldron (2g), Alex Cannon (1g), DJ Lindenmuth (1g), Ryan Frey (2g), Sean Cutter (2g), Logan Hood (1g), Jeffrey Kvecher (1g), and Nathanial Napolitano got the win in goal. Drew Borden scored the lone goal for the Indians.
