I think it's cute you all think the DVHL gives a crap about you or your kids.  It is filled with more inbreeding than the hill country of West Virginia.  It's a corrupt system within a corrupt system.
Nobody cares about your kid beside you (and if you are lucky - maybe their coach and teammates, to the extent they overlap).  USA Hockey/Atlantic District and leagues (like the DVHL) want to see growth in the game, which means more players (and more money) - it doesn’t matter to them where your kid plays (unless you happen to be on the team board and have some vested interest).  The teams are focused on either stability or growth of their organization and fielding a competitive team.  They would like to retain as many kids as possible, but unless your kid is a star, they likely assume a certain amount of attrition this year and don’t worry about which kids come and which go.  The rinks are there to sell ice - and it doesn’t matter who buys it as long as someone buys it.  Whether or not that is an in-house team (with the parents paying for the ice slots via tuition) or an outside organization that is renting the ice (again being paid for by parents via tuition).  The onerous rules that are in place exist to protect the clubs, ensuring they can meet their financial obligation to buy a certain amount of ice and pay league fees. DVHL did TP a favor last year, by not letting them in, as they were able to take all of those Quaker kids without having to worry about their own movement/tampering rules.  Perhaps that was the master plan all along.

Hope that the Quakers will be able to re-build their program and continue to field competitive teams.  But also looking forward to my kid being able to play against some of his friends who play for TP.  I wonder how many TP teams will still also play an EJ schedule.

Anyone else notice TP has Independent spots in 5 of the 7 divisions? Time to shake up the AAHA board IMO.

Why would this make you think the board needs to be shaken up?

Why would this make you think the board needs to be shaken up?

Because they were allowed to steal another (long standing) clubs teams.....
No matter is it’s business or not ..... he should have been made to start at mites and build his own success instead of stealing others.

He is allowed to call the shots who is in his rink ....... but make your own bones

And the Quakers 18AA's who didn't leave and stayed with the club went back to back this weekend smoking the Warwick Wildcats 18AA for the 2nd straight district title.

Go take a look at the ranking and record of some of the TP teams that went on to Districts. Maybe it's a bylaw issue, not a board issue, but it doesn't seem right. Congrats to all of those that made it this far and earned it.

A quick look at the roster shows a lot of kids that came from other organizations so lets not act like the quakers don't understand the art of "stealing" players from other organizations as well.

Are you a little upset?  There is a big difference between players who are unhappy or want to play for a different club and players who are forced to play for another club because their club may not have a rink.

You sound a little salty that either you run a program that players want to leave ....... or you’re one of the players Parents that were not asked to leave.
Let’s lay this out here Mr Anonymity....... good players are always “recruited” by clubs....if you’re upset that some went to Quakers in the past.....do a better job. Happy people don’t leave....remember that. They don’t leave unless there is a possibility that there might be nowhere else to play.
Take the Hawks for instance......my kid left there years ago to play at Delco....because we were given a chance to play on a good team and the guy Chad at The Hawks was an idiot..... we weren’t happy and we left....had we been happy when Delco asked we would have said “thanks but no thanks”

Nothing for nothing had the Quakers had the same facility to provide for the kids I’m willing to bet 90% stay.
The only kids there that were ever unhappy were kids that didn’t make the team they thought they should have.....

Stay Salty

I have no dog in this fight but I have no idea what James is saying.  However, he talks like these hockey experiences are his own, not his child’s.   Very typical.   Hear that a a lot.
