Purely a guess but I think the owner was the one who went by big toe? He stopped posting on that site months ago. Think he just let it die or stopped making payments or something.

Little late to this party - I don't think they are sandbagging.  They are fielding two AA teams.  The 1 team will destroy the league.  The 2 team will be extremely good too.  The issue is how they somehow, within the rules apparently, load their teams with kids from other clubs.  This year is no different than other years.

Of their 6 Bantam teams, 48 of the 93 kids played for Palmyra the previous year.  Their top AA team, Only 5 of the 17 kids played for Palmyra.  14 Bantams from Cap City are now at Palmyra.  6 from Hershey.   7 from Jr Flyers.  Kings, Lancaster, Little Flyers, Quakers, York too.  No tampering going on here.

that 2005 team was supposed to be AA too. To be fair they're not the only club that tampers. Take a look around the league at the better teams the rosters are riddled with players from the previous season other teams. The DVHL doesn't care they're all grandfathers that are happy to say they're still part of some sort of important organization.

Yes most teams tamper and get players from other organizations, but that many new players?? 14 from one organization and 7 from another.  Are there not rules in place to prevent that from happening?

That would be this directly from the DVHL bylaws at dvhl.org. Is this meaningless????????????? Apparently so.

ARTICLE   V -- REGISTRATION AND GENERAL RULES REFERRING TO PLAYERS
Section 7 -- Tampering

A. Tampering is defined as recruiting of a rostered and/or registered player without the prior written approval from the organization of the rostered and/or registered player.
B. No coach, manager or club official connected with a registered team may entice, influence or otherwise tamper with a player rostered with another registered team without the prior written approval of a club president or his designee. The DVHL president must be advised in writing by the club president of any designee.
C. A release will not be effective until it has been received in writing and signed by the current officer of the association who is not a parent of the player or a member of the team involved.
D. After investigating the matter to the fullest extent, the Executive Committee may invoke the following penalties:

To the player; a rostered, protected player who takes the ice with another team without prior written approval may not play for that organization for at least the remainder of the current season, regardless of obtaining a subsequent release.
To all others; any individual or organization that violates the above rules is also subject to fine, probation or suspension, or may not be eligible to participate in DVHL playoffs or District Tournament.

I believe this refers to tampering during the season. While I'm sure parents/coaches were talking prior to the official end of the season, no one will be able to prove it. Once the season ends, everyone is released from their contacts so you are free to try out anywhere.
I don't think the DVHL has player movement rules like the AYHL does.

The definition termed by the DVHL is in season. I think we all know its happening during the season. Tryouts are a month after the season ends. Nothing against tier ll hockey but what benefit does a tier 1 player get from leaving a tier one program to play tier ll? As a coach I'm not looking at players who chose to go backwards in their learning progression.
