It is my understanding from a parent that the Phantoms had a positive test and that because of siblings, coaches on multiple teams and practices the rest are for precautionary reasons.

That's good if it's true, but right now it's only rumor.

Massachusetts teams are getting slammed by the state because coaches are refusing to share rosters when contact tracers are trying to do their jobs. It wouldn't surprise anyone to hear that teams are covering up or forwarding their own narratives about why they are postponing. Hearing that it's due to being cautious would be a good thing, but information needs to come from the league. Although, how trustworthy they are is up for debate. Not hearing anything from the league is only making people lose trust.

agree, my son is on the scholastic team with the player. The scholastic team is also shut down, luckily school is all on-line. Other players on our is scholastic team are on the teams that are postponed. My boy only plays scholastic, not good enough for travel.

Unfortunately, we are going to see this all season. Teams are going to have positive cases and they are going to have to sit and have games cancelled/postponed.

all bad for rinks if postponed games cannot be rescheduled unless they don't give refunds

not like you can just turn the ice on and off to save money

been in a lot of rinks that aren't following CDC guidelines themselves but yeah if we want rinks to not go under got to hand them the cash and not look back

this season is turning into a DVHL fundraiser for rinks to stay open.
