They're still part of USA hockey, not sure why they wouldn't be able to go to districts or nationals.  I remember a few years ago the Revolution (independent) playing DVHL teams to go to districts.  I think districts could easily have DVHL and AHF teams playing each other.

It may actually be tougher for DVHL at some age groups because I think a portion of your games have to be against teams from your state (I could have made that up though).

Full disclosure my boys play for DVHL clubs this coming season.

Who really cares Nationals has become just another tournament. With over 30 teams invited at 18AA, some with losing records, and no distinct winner it's become a joke. Last yr 3 different winners at AAA and no Final Champion. Nationals used to determine best team in country not it's just a watered down weekend tournament

The at large bids for teams that shouldn't be there but go because they can pay is also stupid.

Yep they destroyed Nationals. Just a money grab now. Used to have to earn Nationals by winning districts..regionals..then you were invited to Nationals and there was noone there who didnt deserve to be there.

Ashburn was ranked fifth in the country, how did you say they didn’t “deserve“ to be there?

They're probably referring to a team like Delaware who was there because, you know, Delaware.

has anyone other than TP and VFC put out their 18u rosters?  I agree that is a good lineup at IceLine, it's a shame some of the kids and their parents are extremely toxic to be around, but they will certainly have the team to beat and I could see them easily going to Nationals.

TP has a core of 2005 16AA that went to Quarterfinals coming back.
Blazers have a core of 2004 18AA that won Silver coming back.

Blazers have the edge with age. So it will come down to what they did to backfill with? TP looks like no 18AA returning and mostly 16a and 18a players filling gaps. No idea with the Blazers. That will be key.
