2012 Coaches In Phila Area
Guest:
Can anyone recommend a decent 2012 coach for next season for AA or AAA level?

This is not the forum to ask that question. If a coach recommendation is given, other people will post about how bad that coach is. It is all subjective to what your kids needs are. Some coaches are great at teaching systems and put your kid in the right spots, but others are good at skill and skating development. It is rare to have both. Most high end teams want you to work on skating and skill on your own time while they teach their systems. Other lower end teams prioritize skill/skating while working in the way they want to play but not concentrating on that. Also high end teams AAA and AA teams are already picked before tryouts. They may have 1-2 slots open, cut your kid then sucker you into playing on their AA teams. Lower end teams have slots open at AAA and will not sucker you into their AA team (if they have one). If it was me, I would look at your kids needs then talk to people at different rinks to see what they offer. Or you could sign up for different rink ID skates and see first hand yourself.

2012 has to be the worst birth year for decent coaches. Although some of the toxic coaches quit, after all of their players left. Most only care about building superteams, not development.
Now most clubs are signing whoever can write a check. It's a shame...
