They should be after getting rid of 3 of their own players and replacing them with Minutemen and Jr Flyers players. This team will be like last seasons Ken Doak team.

Good for them!  If they are rostering kids from AAA teams it’s because the kids are burned out with the AAA grind or they aren’t AAA at the midget level and want to play hockey at a decent level on the best team with the best talent.  I think it’s a great move as long as they aren’t sneaking kids in from AAA rosters.  That’s what the ejepl is for!  I always want my kids to play against the best competition.  From mites to midgets.

Blazers have an 03 team that will play in the 03 division. And their pure 04 team will play in the division where the 04 teams are. Unlike other clubs, the Blazers 15AA team doesn’t have three or four 03s on it while still calling themselves 15AA. Not sure what you mean by “scared“. Simply Playing at the proper age level. Why would the expectation be to play up at a higher age level?   That comment sounds like someone who is bitter and was beaten by the Blazers last year

How does that work for the 15AA teams, (with 16yr olds) who will be competing in the EJ supplemental league? Original requirements for birth year teams are that every player is that birth year. Are they allowing the older players to play in those showcases now?

Not sure why the thought is that playing at 16A National is playing against smaller players.  IMO, there can be larger or smaller players at AA or A Nat.

I think though that playing up is the way to go.  I see that Team Genesis 03 AA team (formerly IceDogs White AA) played "up" last season and is now going to be one of the top teams to beat.  If Delco "Chiango" is still together, they will be tough too.

Guess different schools of thought.  One is why invest a whole season playing UP at a year older where your shot at winning is 50/50 and then there's no guarantee that whole team stays together the following season anyway....versus playing exactly where you belong at your on age, having a good shot at success, and worry about next year, next year.  if the idea is to play UP to "toughen up", why not play 2 years up and really toughen up?

The comment right there makes me think it is more about winning and not challenging players to be better.  Some organizations are just looking to win at any cost.  Hockey needs to be more than that.  This is why parents rink hop.  They hear about how great a team is going to be and then go to that teams tryout.  A few make it but in reality the team is set unless the player hits that coaches "talent" level.  Then the parents are stuck with that organization most of the time.  But hey just offer free jerseys!

Not about winning..its about playing at your current age level and not playing UP an age level.  What exactly is wrong with playing at your own age level?  Again if you want to really "challenge" the players why not play UP two birth years....wouldn't that really, really challenge them?  Since when did playing at your proper age level become a from of sandbagging?

What does size have to do with level? No level B A AA have players all the same size. That's the worst angle to support an opinion in this discussion.
