Snider Hockey
Topic: June 25, 2019, 11:54:04 AM
I love the concept of Snider Hockey, Ed was a great supporter of growing the game for children who could not afford it. Wonder how he would feel about the "Parents" who can well afford to pay their child's hockey tuition at any rink and have finagled their way for a career of free hockey for their kids on Sniders dime. Moochers and freeloaders and there are quite a few of these loads.

The Snider Youth Hockey Program is well aware of those who have the money but if they live in the city it's free no matter what tax bracket you might be in. That's the way it's designed, if you live in Philadelphia and want to play, it's free. There is no AA level though.

Im sure they are aware of it and don't care, FYI the people I know playing all live in suburbia, not even in PA. Its shameful that its allowed, for me its no different then beating a check in a restaurant or running a scam and Yes they brag about their Free Hockey. Disgrace.

Nowhere on the Sniderhockey.org page does it say that the program is only offered for low income/disenfranchised families.  When you sign up they don't ask for your income.  The program is open to any child who wants to learn how to play the great sport of hockey. You all sound like a bunch of bitter babies.  How does this effect you in any way?

They have AA programs for both Squirt and PeeWee this year too. Snider Squirt AA won the championship last year.  I guess that's why we have people complaining.

NJ players cross over after their shortened season and triple A players also play for Snider as additional ice time. This happens all the time.

And that's up to Snider on a case-by-case basis.  I know families who have moved out of Philly due to what is happening in the city and as long as Snider knows, they let the kids keep playing.

No, people that dont live in any of the areas you stipulated have 6 figure incomes and scam free hockey for kids while the rest of us do it the right way. Always looking for someone else to pick up the tab.
