So a 14 year old 9th grader can play on his HS team with 15-17 year olds but not on a club team with them?  So an 18 year old 12th grader can play on his HS team with 15-17 years olds but not club with them?  Complete Nonsense.   Who comes up with this crap.

Geographic-based hockey - like what they have in MN - can work if there are sufficient rinks, programs and teams that are well dispersed. That’s simply not the case in 90% of the country so it’s simply not a feasible approach.

Unless your in MN this isn't a good idea because HS hockey isn't a level playing field. Unlike club alot of those kids playing HS arent club hockey players which means a small 15yr old who does play club can be alot better than most. In club that same 15yr old playing with 18yr olds who have played club there hole life will get blown up constantly.
