What's a great way to publicize your favorite varsity hockey team's success, and relative disappointment?

Write an article!

Youth Hockey Info is currently seeking anybody interested in writing post game articles as an official or unofficial representative for their local SHSHL varsity ice hockey team. Interested individuals can be a student, parent, fan etc. However, we only need one contributor to write for their corresponding school team.

This is a great opportunity for students currently studying journalism with an interest in pursuing a career in communications or like occupation. Or for aspiring writers or hobbyists who would like an opportunity to share their thoughts about their favorite team.

We're not looking for professionals in the industry, (if you are one you still qualify). It's open to any charismatic individual with strong interest and knowledge of their high school hockey team.

This is a Pro Bono opportunity. While we cannot offer any type of monetary compensation, we can however assure all of the material written will be publicized on a wide scale online. All articles submitted will be shared on social media, (Facebook) the day after the game, win or lose. We ask that articles are written in good taste, regardless of the outcome. The objective is to give the team, the players families and their friends an in-depth summary of the game. Writers are NOT required to share their given name publicly, it is entirely up to you if you choose to publicize your name or remain anonymous. As is the case with many writers, a pseudo name is acceptable. All articles however will be published.

If you are a student, this would be a perfect opportunity to begin building your portfolio for future college or employment opportunities. Youth Hockey Info draws roughly 2,000 unique visits on average per day, and over 75,000 page views on average per week. You will get noticed!

This is a unique opportunity to publicize your school's hockey team, where in most cases they normally wouldn't get any media coverage.

EDITING DISCLOSURE
Youth Hockey Info reserves the right to edit any article submitted at any given time. We will not make changes without first communicating with the contributor. We understand partisan commentary will be most common, but it is imperative all contributors understand this is not a platform to demean or shame an official, individual, team or public venue. Please be mindful to respect all participants and fans playing and attending each game, as these are events associated with school.
