5 kids from the Hollydell AA are now on PHC 2011 and PHC 2010 also took kids from AA I don’t think think Hollydell will have a good 13AA next year only a handful of kids left including the girls if they stay. I heard other kids are leaving Hollydell had bad experiences

That stinks, we played the 12U AA team last year and they were really good. With lots of 2011s in the area going to AAA teams, not even sure who is left that they could add...

How is PHC great at developing players? They build teams with kids from all over NY, Pitt, and I think I heard Texas? They're great at chasing players away (2011 & 2012) the 13's will blow up next

The initial JB teams recruited well initially, then the team fell apart and is now getting local kids / isnt getting top players that would come down from great distances

Who cares how good a team is before age 15? You never know what kid will rise up and be good and what good plyers quit or are mediocre. These arguments are for nothing. Just let the kids develop and we will see in 2-4 years how this all turns out.

These aren't always necessarily arguments. Some of the content on this board is factual and often helps parents gather information to help them decide on what to do. Example, the #'s above about who left, who is going where, most of it is true

Success at player development should be judged by the amount of players in USHL, NAHL, NCDC, tenders, NCAA commitments and players advancing to prep and legitimate academy hockey. Last 5 years the rockets have done the best job in north and PHC in south ern half of Atlantic District. Wins, rankings etc mean nothing. Player advancement is the most important

i did notice Rockets sent every single age to Nationals ( except for 13O ) this year. I wonder if those teams were developed from the early age, or just scouted from the outside. For example Avalanche replaces the whole team at 15O ( they really start from 14U major ) with the billets from MI, canada, and top talent from the region. Maybe 1 kid from early ages ( SQ / PW ) makes it to the team on a typical year.
So is the Rockets good with development / scouting or little bit of both ?

Can PHC develop players? I don't know , I just know that they had, I think it was 4 former PHC players (locals) go on to win the 14U  2023-24 AAA Tier 1 National Championship with Mt St. Charles.
