CT Hockey Conference - Double Rostering for Boys
Topic: February 14, 2024, 12:06:45 PM
I'm hearing the CT Hockey Conference has voted to no longer allow double rostering of players. e.g. A player cannot play for both a CHC club and another club that is affiliated with another league like the EHF or THF.

Thoughts on this?

If the roster is the same as what is submitted to USA hockey the amount of leagues you play in shouldn't matter, should it?

Wait they allowed players to be double rostered before in the same league, never heard of this. Is this like a call up thing like from the Wheeling Nailers ECHL to the Penguins of the AFL or like if you are under contract with the ECHL and you play for Wheeling and the league decides to loan you to Reading for awhile due to injuries? I guess it would make sense if you are on a AHF/THF team roster that you couldn't fill in for a non AHF/THF club and vice versa, if that's what they did before.
