You know hockey programs are a business correct? So them “making bank” is the idea behind running a business. I’m not aware of any hockey charity programs aside from snider….

I am not talking about rinks running summer teams. I am talking about non-rink affiliated teams pulling together Spring Teams, charging a fortune, rostering AA players and playing a low A tournament. They are scum and are stealing money from stupid parents. Spring hockey is a joke!

All the PHC Spring Elite and AAA idiot parents getting ready for Toronto this weekend? Get your damn kids off the ice. I think playing a hockey season longer than the NHL does is not a good thing for 9-12 year old kids. PHC Games before Spring- 2013- 77, 2012-73, 2014-62. This does not even count the holiday tournaments entered by these 3 teams as Young Kings plus the 20-30 games these kids play in the spring. I already know the response I will get- "My kid loves it and wants to play". You are the adult, tell your kid to play another sport, get them off the ice for at lease 10-12 weeks a year and give them a rest. This means nothing right now! Everything changes after puberty (14-16) sets in. Listen to US Hockey on this. There is a reshuffling of the top 50 players at 14 and keeps changing the older the player gets. Build an athlete and give them a chance to succeed. You should all be locked up for child abuse! By the way, I am a coach, ex-D1 player and my kid plays AAA for a top 20 team nationally. We stop hockey after tryouts every Spring and play lacrosse. In the summer he is on a swim team. He starts skating at end of July in preparation for training camp. He is one of the better players in his age group right now, but we will know nothing until he is 15-16. We work of off-ice training- shooting, strength, stick handling, explosiveness, balance, hand-eye drills and mental aspects, which has improved his game more than being on the ice.  Wake up you f*cking morons!

Good to see Hollydell Selects and Young Kings sandbagging again by playing down a level. Nothing like patting yourself on the back for winning against lower level teams! Way to go Hollydell! You are awesome! I rank Hollydell up there with the master of  sandbagging- DARK MAGIC.

Ease your horses.  All teams that played in the championships this weekend were full kids that are higher than the level they played at East Coast yetis were a bunch of AAA kids and others had AAA kids mixed as well.  Its spring trash hockey if you dont like it do not do it.  So know what's the teams before you start bashing programs.

This is BS and this poster is delusional. Hollydell had way more AAA players than other teams and they know it. They sandbag all the time to make their rink look better than it really is. Must keep up the impression Selects and YK are awesome or they may lose the cult like hold over the parents who think their kid has a shot to play PHC. Hollydell cares about image and stealing parents money and as you say "Spring trash Hokey" is one element of this scheme! I am surprised there weren't parent fights this weekend. Well there is the Dunlops Cup coming up in a few weeks.  I'd place a fifty on multiple drunk Hollydell parents starting crap in the stands. When did Hollydell become such a WT rink?

Man there seems to be some pretty upset "hockey person" about the outcome of this past weekends tournament's. I guess there section of the ribbon rack will be missing one.  Lets be for real it does not matter what level who is in the area.  You know if the selects, kings, yetis, play hockey went to play in  a region outside of south jersey the would get spanked.  So talent was more the same and games were not blow outs so competitive hockey at it is best.

Are you saying it is ok for Hollydell YK & Selects to sandbag because SJ ice hockey has little talent compared to other regions? I can't wait for the PHC nuts to start commenting on your assessment.

Do you really think the kids care.  It’s really abt them.  Parents need to step back and let the kids play.  In life there are winners, cheaters, whiners, losers, and kids just happy to play the game. I mean because some team sandbags in a spring tournament some hockey dad gets all pissed off. You people need to ask your self if it is really that important. This is supposed to be fun for kids and parents.  Disagreements happen but people need to just let it be and if it isn’t hurting there kid let it be.
