COLMAR, PA - Coach, Kevin Vaitis and the North Penn coaching staff have a tall order in front of them for the 2025-26 Suburban High School Hockey League season. The defending Flyers Cup and Pennsylvania Cup champs return with almost their entire past season's roster intact and will be hungry to challenge for not only the league championship, but also going back-to-back in search of another Flyers Cup and PA Cup title.
While the offense did lose the firepower of Cole Pluck (63 points) due to graduation, everyone else returns, including high-scoring junior, Sam Norton (63 points), and senior, Nolan Shingle (44 points). However, Izzy Cabrales, who was lost for the season after playing his first Varsity game, in which he scored three points (2G, 1A), will return for his sophomore season healthy. If that first game was any kind of sign, he could very easily replace the loss of Pluck's offensive production.
Vaitis added another defenseman, Jessie Feldmeier, and forward Gavin Lombardi, who will add strength to the blueline and goal-scoring department. If not for anything else, this team, on paper, is stronger with more depth than the previous season and should pose the biggest challenge to every team in the league. Not only are they strong across the middle and back line, but they have what most likely is the best "one-two" punch between the pipes in Aidan Quigley and Andrew Norton. The Knights have arranged an extremely tough preseason schedule playing Holy Ghost, Malvern Prep, St. Joes Prep, and Downingtown West to prepare for the regular season. During the season, they will also play non-league against LaSalle, Father Judge, Devon Prep, and Salesianum.
