Biggest scam ever, no spectators, and no rink barn! Rinks, clubs, and coaches can do whatever they want, 24/7, with no video or audio recording! Perfect for ALL abusers! You gotta be crazy to give them ONE DIME! Watch as rinks go bankrupt, close, and KEEP THE MONEY! Black Bear at the top of the list. Why are they continuing to buy rinks during COVID? To collect tens and millions of dollars in fees up front, and then file Chapter 13 and close! Black Bear is smarter than TRUMP!

A company, such as Black Bear, would not be eligible to file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Assuming any rink filed a Chapter 11, the entire purpose of the filing would be for the rink to continue operations. Monies are paid to the club, not the rink, so money in the club accounts would not be part of the estate if the rink filed. This bankruptcy conspiracy theory doesn't make any sense from a legal point of view, or a common sensical view point.

Good luck with that THEORY! DON'T GIVE THEM A DIME!

My question is about the procedures during games. Players are supposed to be social distancing on the benches but so far we haven't seen teams doing that in the rinks in central PA. Kids are sitting practically on top of each other during scrimmages and coaches aren't wearing masks. How are these rinks and teams getting away with this? It's like they are trying to shut us down before we even get started. It's supposed to be 6 feet apart or wearing masks when on benches.

There is no way 6 feet of spacing is practical on the bench.  There's no way a game can take place with only 25 people in the building, even without spectators.  At some point, we need to accept some risk.  Considering my county has 0.03% of the population that have tested positive for Covid outside of nursing homes (assuming those numbers are per case and not per test), I'll take the risk.

6 feet is possible and if it isn't than kids have to absolutely wear masks the entire time.

Kids have been out of school since March and away from each other since then, so we have no actual idea of how kids will fare once they begin playing sports. There is a team of lacrosse players in Maryland right now with a bunch of sick kids, two in the hospital, after a tournament. At some point, it's not about parents making decisions for their kids if there is proof that those decisions are not in their child's best interest.

You want to take the risk, at the very least you should be quarantining your family after every hockey game for 14 days from work, school, shopping, and getting tested regularly as well as only playing people from within your county, if not just in your own rink. Otherwise, it's not you taking the risk, it's everyone else you come in contact with when you are out shopping or at work or coming in contact with people doing necessary work. We're less than six months into this and people are already talking about making their kids guinea pigs and risking the health of the community for youth sports. Immoral, if not also flat out sociopathic. Hockey can wait. People need to raise their kids to be more resilient and mentally strong when it comes to a little sacrifice.

I’m glad I don’t live in your imaginary police state.

The issue is programs that still are running practices and clinics with 45-60 kids on the ice. Guidelines have been provided to allow the children to play but the parents and clubs in our sport are so spoiled they don’t think they need to abide by the rules.

But when they get shutdown they will cry out about how unfair it all is. Just follow the guidelines.

This should be a new thread.  Please call out the clubs and rinks that are going to get us shutdown. You are definitely on track. We will all be screwed by people that don’t play by the rules. Kids like mine that want to play won’t be able to because of selfish money hungry clubs and rinks.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! By the way, those rinks, clubs, and coaches that don't follow the Governor's orders, good luck getting insurance coverage after you are "OUTED!"
