Still a couple big DVHL teams out there in Delco and Genesis. If the DVHL keeps getting eaten away I wonder what they will choose to do because they are some of the 900 lb gorillas in the room. It's tough to call yourself the premier local league without those clubs, but it's tough to be those clubs in a league without most of the middleweights and Team Philly.

Why would you want to play in a league with league games in PA, DE, NJ, MD, VA when you can stay in the DVHL, still have a path to districts/nationals, less travel for league games.  I would stay with DVHL.

This doesn't affect playing on high school teams, correct?

I wonder what my son's going to do since the NJ plays the shortened season in order for him to play high school. Is AHF going to stand by this rule?

The games will be Regional. There are 3 regions. You will only play outside of your region in showcases.

Since all these teams are sanctioned by the Atlantic District, they still have a path to District/Nationals. They will have their own playoff to place teams in the District playoff. That being said, I still don't like what is happening. I know the DVHL can do better, but I worry about a for-profit company running a league that owns half the rinks/teams.

Money talks. When tryouts come around, it’ll be interesting to see who tries out with the NJY/DV clubs and who signs up for the more expensive AHF clubs.

Plans could change really quick after that.
