BRISTOL, PA. - The Pennsbury Falcons have started the season missing two of their standout players from last season, Junior Erik Eisler and Sophomore Shane Siegmund. Before tonight’s game, several other Falcons were hit by the illness and injury bug and the team would have to play vs Souderton with a very short bench. Goaltender Topher Seiler and D Connor Coyne were out with illness, while Junior F Eddie Bossler was sidelined with an injury. With five players missing, the remaining Falcons would have to dig deep and put in a lot of minutes on the ice to get through the game.

They more than proved that they were up to the challenge and ended the evening with an 8-0 win. Senior Beau Yedman tallied his first two goals of the season, including getting the game started by scoring just a few minutes into the first period. He ended the night with 3 points. Sophomore Reece Millman (2 g, 2 a) and Freshman Brian Falkenstein (1 g, 3 a) were both standouts with 4 points apiece. Also notable was Junior Goaltender Marek Jorgenson with the shutout.

As the Falcons look ahead to next week’s matchup against CB South, they are certainly hoping that as many players as possible are on the mend and back on the bench.
