Your right elite does charge alot and its to play tier1 like all tier1 organizations do. You will find Royals will be the cheapest around a way better price range than genesis which is the highest and their a and b program isn't much different all they care about is the aa anyway. Everybody has been to the rink this season and seen the changes which are for the better. So complain all you want because your wrong. Your just trying to push people away its so obvious.

All ice rinks are in business to make money.  Revolution Ice Gardens is putting out over million dollars to redo the ice sheets. Anyone complaining about player fees that a rink charges doesn't know anything about business. Rinks cost a lot of money to run and maintain; insurance, utilities, advertising, maintenance, employees. If you don't like to costs than don't have your kid play the sport. Next, why someone would complain about a rink getting a Tier 1 status is ridiculous. If the league wants to expand and offer it than there is a need. Good or bad, it gives kids an opportunity to play at a higher level. Furthermore, if parents want to pay the higher cost than that's on them. People should worry about themselves and their kids and stop complaining. If you don't like a rink or organization than don't support them. I sure there are people that don't like your rink or organization - that's life

Your sentence is the problem:

Good or bad, it gives kids an opportunity to play at a higher level.

Kids aren’t playing at a higher level because AAA is watered down. It’s AAA in name only with the quality being at AA at best.

Sorry, but there simply isn’t enough ‘elite’ level hockey talent in the area to support half of these so called AAA teams.  There is zero developmental value to playing on an ‘elite’ team that goes 10-28. Parents get to tell their friends little Johnny playS elite hockey...  So freakin what....  Even most of the stronger programs get by with a handful of actual elite level players while the rest of the team rounds out the roster to make it profitable.

AAA is a sales ploy to get parents to think if they join the Royals they will eventually get right into the AAA program.  Black bear bought the rink to make money, it's what they do.  Look in Chicago where they rinks.  If they own the majority of rinks in one area they trap parents into paying what they want to charge.  The management of the organizations hasn't changed so expect the same moderate skilled teams for a higher price when parents can go elsewhere pay less and have their player improve without paying the inflated prices.  It's all about the money!!!!!!!!!
