Summer Camp input

I'd like some input from people with direct experience with some camps. We've done rink camps that are little more than on ice babysitting. I'm looking for actual skill development.
1) Greg Carter
2) Simply Defense, Simply Shooting
I may need to pick just one or the other.

Understand that despite whose name may be in on the program, most hockey camps are run by locally hired coaches and players so you just never know what you will get. Once I figured this out, I only sent my player to a camp where the coaching is actually done by the named coach (albeit assisted by others). I see no need to pay $500+ for my player to be coached by someone less experienced than I....

It's not the camp but what they put into it. Before signing up for another hockey camp. Can your kid run? Can he perform fundamental skating techniques? Most skills camps are going over basic fundamentals.
