AAA in Philadelphia area
Topic: February 05, 2020, 03:15:52 PM
So any idea how all these local AAA teams plan to differentiate themselves?

Cost?
Training?
Full Ice slots?
Coaching?

At the end of the day we are buying a product from them arnt we? (which they seem to forget from time to time). What should we (the consumer) expect with this looming competition for higher end talent? Would seem just as our kids need to work hard for their spots they need to as well now.

Anyone hear anything or suggestions that would get you to switch programs?  More of the same just seems like a waste. At this point it seems like the only sell is location to your home or a new uniform.

Great question- how are teams differentiated? Is it with the extra costs and commitments? Seems that teams are spread thin and diluted talent leads to mediocre experiences and results. Why would/should kids look at AAA when AA Tier 2 is much less expensive and exposure is there as well?

What you can expect is AAA prices with AA talent (at best). its a colossal gouging.

This is of course assuming your certain you have a guarantee somewhere else if your kid leaves where he is now. There a lot of different places what birth year is he?

The biggest issue I see is tier 1 teams adding the American Division, why? What does the American Division do or go? Except the programs pocket. If the tier 1 American players played tier2 AA would increase the competitiveness of both leagues.

you want some advice?  play tier II AA, find a decent coach if you can for that team, and then pay for private training - this of course assumes your kid is really into it more than you are.  Oh one more thing, remember, it is supposed to be fun for your kid until he/she decides he/she wants he/she/they want to do with it.

What do you mean by exposure?

What do you mean by exposure?

College recruiters, and scouts. Don't hold your breath. If you haven't been contacted by somebody or some official about your kid, he or she isn't getting any exposure. They only come out to watch who they know about.
