Teams leaving the NJYHL for AHF

I’m not going to call out specific guys but yes some are absolutely unqualified and not because they are dads. Never said anything about them being dads.

Stop with the systems. Not sure how much youth hockey you watch in this area but none of the teams you mentioned are running systems. But, being capable of teaching kids how to play properly is a prerequisite in my mind. Being on the right side of the puck, basic understanding or 3 zone hockey. They’re never too young to be taught concepts. These guys don’t know anything about the game. If you don’t believe me ask them 2/3 basic questions.

Coaching is not FE issue. They do not have enough AAA players that have the physical or mental capabilities to execute when playing a AAA or even a high AA pace. When FE plays mid to low AA teams and the pace slows, the execution is good. They only have 2-3 AAA players per team at all levels. The rest are AA/A. PHC, JF, LF coaches could take over FE teams and maybe you might get 3-4 more wins on the season. FE teams are mid-AA and the coaches admit it. Too many AAA teams. There should be 3 AAA teams- JF, PHC & LF and the rest AA. Talent rules and sadly FE does not have enough to be competitive at the AAA level.

Coaching is 100% PART of the issue at Pennsauken.  Watch the practices, take note of the improvement of the players and the teams from August to March.  These teams are allowed to be run like individual tribes with no central leadership. The rink daddy ball nepo fest and that’s exactly how they ALL like it.  But don’t worry as long as it’s in the name of “development” the parents have no right to ask for accountability, culture, or heaven forbid winning
