So will the jags end up with the same fate as t2 chiefs (Princeton merger) and rev youth (royals merger) and end up screwed out of a team of their own next season?

The owners of Iceland did purchase Igloo. They closed on it today but I can confirm that the Mercer Chiefs Tier I program are still playing out of Iceland And will continue to do so

Can anyone elaborate who is Black Bear and what the story is?  Does not sound too promising from the comments what they do for youth hockey!

Thank you for the info!  Well they certainly own some rinks across the area who have some decent programs.  Hopefully they do some good!

a monopoly!  please, if they owned 100 rinks around the country it wouldn't even be close... do you even know what a monopoly is?

They buy failing/failed/bankrupt rinks - how is that a bad thing.  I guess OIP is next if they like buying things in NJ.

Big Bear buys rinks, run hockey tournaments, has Junior team.  If they buy up rinks then they control the pricing of ice slots for their tournaments and teams.  Each rink they have bought, the ice slot prices go up.  In the end the parents of tier 2 and even tier 1 parents pay the price in hopes their kid gets recruited by their Junior team.  Parents need to wake up.  It’s a business that they are making money of recreational youth hockey.
