You are correct. Lots of teams in THF are not AAA teams. They get the AAA model for the price they pay (3 days practice, video, gym, skills) but overall talent is not AAA. Most of these teams have maybe 5-6 AAA players- rest AA or A. Now the top 5-6 THF teams are legit AAA and I would put them up against any team in AYHL. Revolution is more like low AA. Rumor is BB will give up Rev AAA charter next season or year after. Offering as sacrificial lamb to keep other AAA teams when AAHA eliminates AAA programs. Rumor is BB wants FE to stay (BBNA is making bank) and will agree to close Mercer as well. Things about to get interesting!

Interesting take. Problem is no tier 1 charters will be eliminated as they’ve all been grandfathered in. The only risk going forward is if you don’t field a national bound birth year  you lose it forever. So I disagree BB will be sacrificing any of their charters. It is more likely they leave USA Hockey altogether. Residency rules have been punted to 2027/28. When they go into effect they will destroy non brick and mortar academies like BBNA, SPA etc. BB will have no choice but to leave USA Hockey or close those academies

Tier 1 charters will be eliminated as USA Hockey is mandating less Tier 1 teams to create a more competitive environment to feed the NDL. AAHA put a moratorium on Tier 1 but will now start to downgrade teams. I do agree that BB and other rinks, not just in AAHA region, but nationally, will look to pull out of USAL Hockey. There are a lot of Tier 1 clubs going the Academy route to make their rinks more profitable. USA Hockey may have screwed the pooch with the NDL. It will be interesting to see what happens moving forward. I can see a total private organization outside USA Hockey- self-insured, owned leagues (THF already is established), private tier level certification, separate national championships. This is why I think rinks keep joining AHF & THF. They see the crap USA Hockey and their Affiliates are pulling and they want out. This is tuning into baseball with all the different club and tournaments that are privately sanctioned. Going to get very interesting!

I heard it is another parent coach. 4th rink in 4 years

Announced yesterday. 4 rinks in 4 years=not good! Son wants to try out for FE. I am unsure with this hire. Who is this guy?

It’s actually five rinks in five years, and he’s coaching two teams. FE leadership only pretends to care once a year — right before tryouts — to maximize revenue. After that, if you raise a concern or request a meeting, you hear nothing but silence.
But I’m sure this year will be different.

Grundy, Hollydell, Revolution, Mercer now Flyers Elite. Im sure the luxury’s of Pennsauken will make this move a success.
