Your kid must play tier 2. Thanks for that with all the tuition you pay my kid plays tier 1 for free.

Time to pack up the bags the AHF Selects are heading home.  At least it was an amazing experience.  Pockets seem a bit lighter.

Flyers are 6-3-2 overall. You clowns that think this wasn't the best team put together have no clue what a talented hockey player is. This tourney is mostly for the experience. You have no clue how hard it is to get to the point that flyers team has. They've been there for 8 days now. Players with billet families since Friday. Everything works against these kids from philadelphia. The reason your kid is not on the team is because you are on here complaining while your kid is sitting on their phone. Maybe pay for extra lessons and support and encourage your kid a little more instead of being a cry baby. Hope you Debby downers have a great weekend. The flyers Quebec team thanks you for the support karen.

Thank you for your comments TB. You finally got lucky with a team that is comprised mostly of PHC kids after all these years. I still think there were maybe 4-5 other kids that were better than some kids (not just PHC) that made the team, but that is debatable. The real reason 2013 PHC and this Flyers team is doing great is because they may have the best goalie at the tournament. That kid erases a lot of mistakes. But in the end results talk! Good luck to Flyers tomorrow.

The flyers team is the lone survivor at this point.  Must of done something right.  But I wouldn’t be surprised if short bench is being used and I have only seen one goalie listed as actually playing.

Well we can close the chapter on this shit show.  Everyone should be home in time to shovel their driveways.  Until next spring we can do it all again.  Word is the daddies are lining to get that ticket punched for a great experience.

Shit show? You’re an absolute idiot

1. If the event is a waste of money why do so many people complain about the process?

2. Is it not possible the best team could be selected and still not do well? Why do wins and losses determine the validate of the process?

3. Is it not true that in any selection process you could debate that bottom 5 selections? Is it not true that many of the players are close in ability?

4. Do you lose the right to complain if your don’t attend the tryout?

5. Are you a complete loser if you’re rooting against 12 year olds?

Shit show? You’re an absolute idiot

1. If the event is a waste of money why do so many people complain about the process? It is a waste of money because 90% of team picked before tryouts by AAHA (which is really PHC & JrF picking teams)

2. Is it not possible the best team could be selected and still not do well? Why do wins and losses determine the validate of the process? It is a tournament that crowns a champion. Not the best team could not be selected and still do well. If the best "team" is selected they should do well. Does a PHC laden team that makes it to the quarterfinals deserve praise? No. The Flyers team should do well every year, but since PHC dominates selection (the vaunted 2013 team did not even win their league playoffs) this is what you get.

3. Is it not true that in any selection process you could debate that bottom 5 selections? Is it not true that many of the players are close in ability? Yes many players are close in ability, but yet it seems PHC and JrF always get picked in close contests with other kids. AAHA needs to wake up and send the best "team" and not just PHC kids!

4. Do you lose the right to complain if your don’t attend the tryout? No you can still complain. Why tryout if there are maybe 2 spots truly open. If the teams are pretty much set, why pay the AAHA your hard earned money?

5. Are you a complete loser if you’re rooting against 12 year olds?

5. Are you a complete loser if you’re rooting against 12 year olds? No one is rooting against 12 year old kids. They are rooting against the jack-a**es that choose the teams. The morons at AAHA, PHC and JrF.

Funny thing is for the 2026 tryouts there may not be a lot of PHC kids that make the team. 2014 has talent spread out multiple teams, including so called "lower level" AAA teams. If teams were truly picked and not fixed, I could see 3 PHC, 2 JrF, 3 LF, 2 Rev, 1 Palmyra. That leaves 6-7 skaters. This year is wide open from a talent perspective, but since PHC and JrF will have too much input, you will get 7 PHC and 4 JrF with another 4 coming from LF. Which means 3-4 slots are open which we all know 2 will go to Rev & 1 to Palmyra. That means every other kid is paying to tryout for 1 slot. AAHA are fools and until the process changes no Flyers team will do well. Also, when was the last time a Flyers team took a girl to PWQ? Flyers are sexist just like the rinks that really pick the teams- PHC and JrF. JrF has a great girls program, but rarely let the girls play on boys AAA teams.

Isn’t Rich Eby from Palmyra involved in the selection process? I believe he’s Director of something with Atlantic District. Pretty sure Palmyra has another coach that’s involved as well. Palmyra should be well represented. Does anyone from LF, Revolution etc take part? Maybe if they got involved it would solve the perception of bias.
