A lot of free pre skates out there for bantam and higher.  A lot of movement must be occurring and some of these teams will be not full of very talented kids.

I am shocked what I am seeing at the AYHL rinks. Lots of teams taking AA & A kids because kids. I can't believe some of the names on AAA rosters: Kids that have brutal edge work, are slow and have no idea how to play are on AAA rosters. Kids that lit up AA but when playing against AAA kids get left in the dust. Kids that were bottom roster on other 3rd or 4ht place AYHL teams, making a top 8 MHR team. A lot of rinks are saying the same thing- "Where did all the talent go?". 2013 and 2012 both lack talent depth compare to 2011. But it is just shocking the lack of development and skating ability of most of these players. I do not see any top 20 MHR rankings for AYHL SJ/SEPA teams at any age next year. A very sad development!

There are too many aaa programs USA hockey and the districts need to shrink the market. Kids that got away on “skill” are left in the dust once checking starts. Thats why programs exploit as much money as they can for “prime expos” and “elite” teams before kids are at the age to be scarred to death of the game they once dominated.
