Tier 1 Girls Programs
Topic: March 25, 2026, 02:07:33 PM
My daughter is moving up to Bantam Girls from playing boys. She is a legit Tier 1 Girls player. We have 2 programs ask her to tryout- Tiger Lillies and JrF. Which is the better program? How good are the 14U AAA teams supposed to be? How is the coaching? We did some practices during last season at both programs, but their drills and skating program were nothing like the boys program we were at.

I tried other forums and asked parents on the teams, but no one spoke bad about either program. I find this hard to believe. There has to be some warts on these programs.

look at the exposure the programs offer by looking at their schedules from this past year.  go to myhockeyrankings and compare who each program is playing and how they are doing.  quickly looking at the two programs, i see all of the jrf aaa and aa teams are at nationals.  i don't even see ptl in any of the district qualifier series.  i don't know that the two are comparable

imo at 14uaaa and up skill development & training falls mainly on the player
