At the 2010 level, lower-level teams like Mercer, LF, and MM all struggled to fill slots. Almost no cuts, and kids who were passed on early were brought back due to low attendance.  Honestly, too many teams out there right now. And that's true even with Rev 2010 folding.

Seems like 2012 has issues too. LF is struggling to put a team together, VFM took kids that do not belong at AA let alone AAA, JRF lost entire team. PHC seems to be only 2012 team that stayed mostly intact. Now 2013 PHC took a step back, so did LF & JRF while teams likes Rev & Mercer got better. This has been the craziest year I can remember. Not because of so much movement, that has happened before. Because so many 2013 & 2012 kids seem to just have disappeared!

The 2012 AYHL kids didn’t really “disappear”…more like they “dispersed” mostly to THF/AHF. Woodbridge, Mercer, Rockets, Rev, TP, Genesis and prep schools all improved thanks to an influx of AY kids. JRF and LF are trying to put together teams of kids that have never played AAA before. Why? How did ENTIRE team from JRF leave??

Why aren’t more 2012s going to FE? The academy seems to be doing okay wouldn’t that give a leg up for the following year?

Because everyone has talked crap about FE on here so everyone thinks the program stinks. It does not stink and there have been a lot of BB kids going Juniors and Prep. Told the 2012 team is better this year and they have a bunch of kids identified for BB next year. Guy is back for another year running skills, the BB coaches are top notch and the FE coaches are great at teaching skills and skating. What kids need below 2nd year bantam is skills and skating. Hockey IQ, systems, positioning can all come at 2nd year bantam. This is what FE is great at then BB takes over and the rest comes into place. Can't wait for the usual comments that Pennsauken is a dump and FE sucks. Truth is the only people that know what happens at FE/BBNA are the families that are there. Ask a few people that left or were asked to leave. They went to other rinks and call every year to try to come back. Why? Because FE/BBNA are doing it the correct way!

Has nothing to do with the quality of the facilities or anything said on this board. Every club gets bashed equally.

Facts are BBNA gets most of their players from outside. Very few FE kids have advanced to the academy team at 2009, 2010 or 2011 birth years.

Also, with all due respect to the kids and coach, the 2012 team is not better than many of the local AA teams and the schedule they play is bottom of THF, not more competitive than what you’d get in AHF. Why would anyone leave a legitimate tier 1 program for this?
