Lawnmower Parents

The one who typically assumes to know a little more inside detail about the team and has a direct path to the coaching staff. They don't normally share information except when they think it will benefit their kid or advance their social position with the coaching staff or club. It's normally more about themselves and the social position than anything. Something about having to be accepted and the willingness to do what they think will make the coaches happy. It doesn't matter who it affects negatively or positively, as long as it's not him/her or their own kid. Anybody else is open game.

Every sport has that parent who sometimes get a little too involved to the point where they think that they're as much a part of the decision making authority that they offer their own opinion(s) to the coaches. Whether those opinions are overlooked or acknowledged  they still believe it's important they share what they think because of their own modesty.

These parents are sometimes called the "lawnmower parents", "silent partners", "helicopter mom or dad", "arm-chair managers" etc. Every team has one, do yourself a favor, stay away from them.

They aren't too hard to pinpoint. It's the parents who follow the coach around with their nose so far up the coaches ass you can see it poking their stomach out.

All parents are primarily interested in their kids, their kid’s progression, what team they are placed on, as well as concerned about their not getting hurt.  What bothers me is when parents are critical about other people’s kids - keep your opinion to yourself, especially at the younger ages, as well as the parents that are screaming at the kids, refs, coaches from the stands.  Also not a fan of the clique of dad coaches that walk around in their team jackets with their smug looks, thinking they are the shit and their kids are better than everyone else.  To me they are the worst.
