Full Ice Mite Program
Topic: January 29, 2024, 11:59:33 AM
Looking for a full ice mite program next year. I am more interested in proper development than league or tournament championships. What recommendations in the Philadelphia area? I know coaches are on the move and some have not been announced yet.

Thank you

For pure development- Pennsauken Pilots hands down. They will teach you skating, passing and how to play the game the correct way and you get 3 days a week practice. Then if your kid is good enough he can follow his team to Flyer Elite.

I agree that the Pilots are an excellent program, lots of ice time, good development. I would through V Hockey Young Kings in the mix too if you can stomach going to Hollydell.

With Venom you have to deal with Hollydell parents. Worst parent group!

Forgot one thing. Never trust a rink that serves alcohol at youth sporting events. That is why Hollydell is so bad, too many drunk parents at games!

A bar is not needed for too many drunk parents. They stand in the parking lot for an hour drinking before the game. Some parents bring their cups full of alcohol into the rinks and then refill it between periods. Our teams game day tailgates are epic bloody marys, mimosas, beer, jello shots, bourbon. If it's raining it's just beer and bourbon but they are out there. This is for home and away games plus our rink has a bar.
