I'm sure they're totally willing to risk their operating licence so your team can have a full bench.  I bet if you even ask politely they'll let you into the rink to bang on the glass and yell "SKATE" at the top of your lungs.

How dare they bow to Wolf, CDC, State, Region, and local hockey authorities.

Only cowards would worry about league affiliation, U.S.A. Hockey fines, Operation licenses, State penalties and parental lawsuits.

fyi: Sarcasm is intended above.

I am losing brain cells the more I stay on this board.

1000% agreed. The whinning and complaining is out of control. Clearly they've never been told that they have to follow rules before.

Why are people so averse to a change in routine?  I just don’t understand.  Things change all the time.  Two line passes used to be illegal.  We adjusted.  Helmets on the ice became mandatory.  We adjusted.  Trap rules came into play.  We adjusted.  Now - for the foreseeable future - it is development only or 4v4 with no checking, depending on where you live.  Games are NOT safe in. Out areas.  We need to adjust there as well as things evolve.  Why is this so hard to accept?

The sooner we follow the rules, the sooner things get closer to pre-COVID days.

What makes you think they'd lose anything? Nothing happened to them for the tournament they held 3 weeks ago with spectators in the rink and full benches. Not even a threat was made from the state and numerours reports were filed in several attempts to get them shut down.

Can we learn to be polite to people?  Just because we're on the internet and we're not face to face it doesn't give us the right to be rude to everyone that has a different opinion.

Word on the street is they were fined so heavily they had to reach out to sponsors to foot the bill because it was more than they had on hand.  I'm not sure I believe that, but I'm sure rinks aren't looking to piss away $1000 per violation.

I've heard the same people yell at 12 - 14 yr olds on the ice, "Do you want a purse so next time you can hit him with that." When their kids misses a check. Or, scream "Do it again!" when their team is beating the other team 12-0. So, no, I don't think those people have the ability to be polite or adult. They want everything their way, they are living their missed opportunities through their kids, and completely lack the ability to be empathetic or see the world beyond the tip of their nose. It is very, very sad.
