Are you or your child looking to go to college? Want to stay somewhat close to home? Want to play hockey? Become a Husky, the Bloomsburg Ice Hockey Club is looking for a few skaters for next year.  It sounds like they will be good for the upcoming seasons in net with 2 goalies joining next year but are still in need of skaters. The roster was a little lite this year and with 4 seniors, a good amount of ice time as a freshman or transfer is very likely. Check them out on Instagram at bloomuhockey

I'm not a coach, just the friend of a parent of a future Husky and Alumni.

Bloomsburg University, part of Commonwealth Universities is a great place to go and get a quality education while make lifelong memories.

If you're looking to stay close to home for college and want to keep playing hockey, this could be a great chance. I know a few people who’ve gone to Bloomsburg, and it's a solid school with a good vibe. Plus, with the team needing more skaters, you might get a lot of ice time as a freshman or transfer, especially since they’ve got goalies covered for next year. If hockey’s something you want to keep doing, it’s definitely worth checking out.

My daughter will be attending Bloomsburg next year hoping to play softball while getting a degree in secondary education. Bloomsburg is one of 3 schools my son is looking at attending in a couple of years, he plays hockey. Delaware and Robert Morris are the other 2.

Bloomsburg's one goalie commit made his 1st start the other week and looked really solid. Just because they said they have 2 goalies for next year don't mean not to look into them as a possibility, 3 would be just fine on a college team. Look at Kutztown, they have 2 teams and 7 goalies.
