It's going to be interesting to see what remaining teams outside of AHF choose to do. Genesis decision is going to be an interesting one.

That being said, would there be any other significant changes with AHF vs what we are used to with DVHL in regard to board members, tryouts, practice locations, coaches....etc.

Guessing the price for the season would be similar for all teams and probably float around 2500-3500.

My son is on one of the teams winning my multiple touchdowns, it's no fun for them or their opponents.  The pre-season play should help place borderline teams in the right divisions.  To be fair his team is also winning DVHL games by 7+ regularly so there may be teams in his division that should swallow their pride and play in the American group.

I think having the ability to have unbalanced schedules and to have former NJ and DVHL teams play each other (which they weren't supposed to do this year) will help a lot along with that spring tourney.

Maybe a A national team should have some pride instead and skate at AA where they belong vs winning 12-0 every game 🙄

My kids play @ Hatfield and we like the rink, but there really won't be much AA left in the DVHL (if any at all). And, the format of the AHF seems more appealling. Every year at Genesis we played somewhere between 60-80 games, with only about 20 being league games. A ton of non league games against the same clubs. A larger league with hopefully more competition and more parity would be an improvement.

After my kid's evals this year, Genesis released five good players to go play on other squads...that's over $15k in ice fees. Next year, they're going to lose a lot more. Good luck putting teams on the ice.

What is taking place is the replacement of the DVHL and NJYHL to make one single AHF league. They're strategically buying the rinks which have the organizations able to keep both of the other leagues afloat. No organizations care about their A and B teams. Once the AA pool dries up in DV and NJ, they'll all bail out and go to AH with the rest of the A and B teams in tow.

Ironically enough there are already two AA teams, and two A National teams at the age group
