Can't speak for other non BB clubs but ours went up about $150 from last yr in the DV. We were told last Sept that it would be going up, that was months before deciding to switch to the AHF.

I said it wrong. My question is how much do the former dv and nj non owned by bb organizations have to pay to become members of the ahf. They dropped their memberships to play in ahf. I am asking more how much of a difference the league membership fee is if they aren't owned by bb like firebirds and wiss.

DVHL league fees were something like $1300-1400 per club. I have no idea if they charged a fee to join. The league really doesn't pay for anything which is why the fees are so low. Home teams pay for ice slots and ref fees. Outside of general operating costs, I guess the biggest thing the league would pay for are the ice slots for playoffs.
No idea if the AHF charged to join and I don't see anything on their site about league fees. I know years ago the EJ was charging like $5000 per club to join. Not sure if they changed their structure since then.

They definitely charged the bear doesn't do anything for free but I think they would undercut the other leagues dangling a carrot to draw them over. That is why I questioned it.

the 40 games includes the showcases, so it comes down to (per the site) 28 home/away games outside of the showcases.

Also includes 3 tournaments at AA.
so total games at AA is 50+ for the season. Plus very few non-league/surprise add on games. This is way better than 21-22= 15 AHF, 18 NJ plus 20 non-league all scheduled (except AHF) after NJ schedule came out in October. Last year was a mess. Getting full season schedule by end of July is great!

It's still 40 games no matter how you want to break it down. Last seasons 24 league games plus a manager that struggled to get us the 1 non league games we had and 3 tournaments = a total of 37 games. We are doing the 40 AHF + 2 tournaments and 2 slots for non league games = 50 games

Under BB and AHF, you can join other tournaments not associated with them AND play non-league games if the schedule allows it.

Still not a fan of BB, though.  ::)

How many of the nl games do bb let their ahf teams reciprocate? I normally have our full schedule of nl done by august for home and away. How does bb open ice that is fully booked by them in their rinks to allow reciprocation? It really is more fun to schedule with who you want when you want. Playing in showcases against who bb tell you to play against doesn't seem like an ideal situation.

You're one of very few who can do that.  How do you schedule NL games before league games are announced?  How do you and your opponent get ice slots before the rinks know what league games are scheduled on their sheets?

We never had an issue scheduling 4 away and 4 home nl games and we normally already played 3 to 4 preseason games by the end of august. In all we played 68-72 games between preseason nl ej and tournaments the past few seasons minus the messed up covid season

What age group?   That is an easy way to burn kids out.  Midget AAA doesn't even play that many games.  NHL plays 82 games and that is their only job.  68+ games and school is too much

u14 and 16 and 2 different associations. How is this uncommon everybody is playing alot of games. I thought that's the whole reason for associations adding ej to their age groups?

Do we know for sure what the DVHL will look like next season? I understand it will be different for each age/level but:
(13) DVHL --> AHF teams (Wissahickon, York, LV, Palmyra, VF C, Team Phil, Exton, Royals, Blazers, Haverford, Grundy, Del Ducks, Vipers)

Remaining DVHL --> Genesis, DelCo, Little Flyers, Hershey (folding?), Snider?, Quakers?

Could have as few as 3 or 4 teams in AA?
