Wow! Great turnout at PHC last night. I am concerned about some of the parents whose kids may make the team. Seems PHC is worried more about the talent of the player, rather than the quality of the family. We do this every year and problems surface by October. Teams look like powder kegs waiting to explode and some of the new kids are trouble already.  My son wants to stay so we will roll one more year but PHC's real life culture is not what they sell.

Would you expect anything else in that rink? Look at what happened with the 2011's. The 2012 coach has to be one of the worst in the area. It's always telling when you see the amount of kids leaving every year. It's only a matter of time until he's gone.  And the 2013's aren't far behind, with some of those parents.

There's a reason Hollydell has had am awful reputation since the 90's.

PHC at all levels (2015 thru 2012) had all but maybe 2 or 3 slots filled. 30+ kids at each tryout for 2-3 slots. What morons would sign up for a tryout with those odds? Kids were told before tryouts that they made it but to keep on the DL so Hollydell could fleece the clueless Hurricane & other rinks parents into paying for a tryout. Hollydell calls the PHC tryouts their annual fund raiser as all teams are 95% set before tryouts.

Jr Flyers Girls and Youth rosters are posted on the web site. Go to each peewee and under team and click rosters, only organization I found that did that.

One of Phc 2015 goalies had a custom helmet painted and posted before tryouts were done. Imagine selling false hope to an 8 year old when the spots are clearly filled!

Hurricanes players can attend PHC tryouts at no additional cost. It is a 2 for 1 package. 3 skates for free. Why would you care anyway?

It hasn't been that way for awhile, Preskates, Tier 1 and tier 2 tryouts are all a separate fee. $$$$$$$
