Show me a true 12AA - all 2008 team - with a coach that does not have a kid on the team and I will  write the check!
It's not tier 1, no need to show anything. You play with what you got.

This a great question that I've debated myself. Without delving back into the Meghan and Vince bashing from the previous thread, what are the reasons people are leaving Royals or Rev, or not interested at all?

You would leave after having a good season for the possibility of getting a coach you like?

I'm pretty sure he was referring to getting a coach he doesn't like. If so, I'm right there with you!

One of the ideas behind merging Warwick and Hatfield was to keep kids from going back and forth between the clubs (at least that's what the board stated). Now there will just be a back and forth between the Royals and Genesis. Unless you are closely connected with the leadership, parents really have no input. After several years with Ice Dogs and now Genesis I've never seen an open board meeting announced and none of the boards have ever sought any feedback on any aspect of the program, including coaching. So the only feedback a parent can really give is to move to another program.

Coming from Newtown to Hatfield for practice during the week is comparable to planning a day trip back and forth for 7 months 3 times a week with 2 kids. I'd say we didn't sign up for this but we did :(

Honestly we were less then impressed with the dedication to the commitment of ice hockey from the families. 5 or 6 kids at practices most of the year. Started from the summer not much changed all year. Not exactly thrilled with coaches.

Rev Youth is done. Coaching is under review and decisions will obviously be made to fill vacancies and new roles. The Royals program is what is moving forward. There are plenty of 1st class instructors and good people involved all around.

Black Bear is all about making money, that is first and foremost.  Every rink they take over the cost of ice has gone up.  Parents need to do research.  If cost of ice goes up your dues go up.  The Revolution has charged more than DVHl clubs on a regular basis and you always hear rink will be getting improvements but never happens except for parking lot.  They now convinced the Royals to come there which is good but Royal prices will either have to go up or Black Bear loses money.  They don’t seem like they are into losing money.

We'll see when the info comes out. FWIW Warwick has had more work done to in the last 8 months than has had over the last 20 years. Is it perfect no but compared to when Phil was there there is a noticeable and marked difference. Not just the parking lot either.

Must be another rink in Warwick, 🤣!  Was there last week and locker rooms and ice are terrible.
