Best of luck to all Tier 2, U12 Players!!!
Topic: March 22, 2023, 09:24:52 AM
Just wanted to wish all of your players the best of luck with evals this week. Remember to encourage them to work hard and be good teammates. Make sure you aren't the crazy parent in the stands/at the rink.

Our club don't allow parents in the rink and they turn off livebarn during evals. All clubs need to do the same. No parents leads to less pressure on the players and evaluators leading to a better all around eval. Another thing our club does that I like is it's not just in house evaluators. The club brings in coaches and 3 players from 2 different local college teams, 1 group for each sheet of ice, on the last 2 days of evals from bantam on up. They are to evaluate who the club feels are the bubble players.

Best of luck to the players! Even more luck is needed for the parents to pay the crazy fees Tier II AA is charging now. What a ripoff compared to when I played in the 1990's. These rinks should be ashamed.

Really, it's more expensive to play hockey in 2023 than in the 1990s? I'm shocked. For comparisons sake:
In 1990 v 2023:
Gallon of gas: $1.00 - 3.567
Gallon of milk:$1.18  - $4.38
Median Family income (PA): $48,551 - 105,058

Energy costs more now than it did 3 years ago. Rinks consume a LOT of energy to make ice.
