What a difference a year makes! Igloo posted 2023-24 program over view today. Same list as last year, except coaches added, some skill changes, but biggest change was no fees listed. I guess they will hide what they charge until the last minute and try to force parents to sign agreement. Igloo is the worst since TF left. BF is in over his head!

Jaguars Travel Youth Hockey – The Igloo at Mt. Laurel

Biggest issue for Igloo- not enough talent at 10UAA or 12UAA to even field teams.

Igloo wasn't good when TF was there either. Its been since BB took over.

interesting. seems like nobody is listing actual cost these days. are a lot of 10uaa and 12uaa kids going to leave?

Excluding 10UB players due to the struggles of the 2 21-22 10UB Players on this years 10UAA. Ditto for 12UB. Heard the following:

10UA- almost all 2012 moving up to 12U- not good enough for AA
10UAA- 3- 2012 (out of 5) leaving- 2 left are 2021-22 10UB players discussed above
3- 2013 (out of 5) leaving- maybe goalie too, which will make it 4
            1- 2014 (out of 2) leaving
12UA- 5- 2011 (out of 5) leaving
          1- 2012 (best player) leaving with coach/father
12UAA-almost all 2010 and moving up to 14U

Both 12UAA & 10UAA struggled this year. Best hope was top players at 10UAA and 12UA staying, but they are leaving with coaches for Flyers Elite. Coaches leaving for three days full ice a week at Flyers Elite. Igloo offered 2 days shared ice.

My prediction is we will field a 10UA and 12UA teams. No way they can field minor or major 10UAA or 12UAA teams. There may not be enough talent to compete at 10UA and 12UA. There are 2 good 10U players worthy of AA and none at 12U. Unless BF is recruiting or Mercer AAA players come back, next year will be a disaster. No Blazers players that left are coming back. The cupboard is bare and no reinforcements are on the way. Maybe Igloo plucks some Voorhees kids. Igloo good at 2009 & up, but lower ages will all struggle.

Forgot one thing. 10UA parents/coach may post to say they were better than 10UAA. 10UAA had a size issue because they were young, but they were a very fast team. If 10UA played 10UAA, 10UAA would win by 6+ goals. 10UAA played 1 A tournaments and won it easily.  Don't think 10UA players can move up and play 12UAA minor. AA much faster pace than A level. Do not throw these kids to the wolves again!

What’s the obsession with playing AA?  Just play the level the kids are capable at let them have fun.

Obsession with AA is, my kid played AA last year and now will have to play A or find another rink. BF miscalculated player defections when he pulled teams from coaches and let current 12UAA coach stay. Igloo is a mess and the better players left will suffer. Goalie coach good, but too many teams stretches him thin. Not enough ice time either to have the promised # goalie sessions. Skill sessions are a joke too. Just skill competitions with minimal teaching.
